Sushi Sakura: Experience Authentic Japanese Cuisine in Houston

Happened upon a wonderful sushi bar while waiting for services at the neighboring Vet Hospital, was within walking distance. And, super close to Ikea if you’re hungry after shopping! Cute place for a date-night or grabbing a quick bite to eat while out and about.

There are many reasons to love this little slice of Japan: the cozy floorplan, the decor, the logo, the pristine cleanliness, the helpful staff, and of course the food! Pros: The conveyor belt service that allows for quicker turn time, fresh sushi, and error free ordering. Happy hour is the BOMB! Just GO! Beer and Sake choices, and reservations. Cons: Sometimes you have to order to get exactly what you want -- but it is usually out to you quickly. Wish I could keep this place a secret ;)

This place is the definition of a revolving sushi restaurant. The service is top tier, you can taste the love put into the sushi. I personally got the bento box photos shown. Would recommend, so yummy!

Nice place different like the conveyor belt! Hawaiian was the best thing we ate bread balls not that great don't recommend. We got something from each color plate good servings. Recommend better dessert options and the music did not go with the atmosphere for my date night at a sushi restaurant. But over all good experience and the Itamaes (guys making the sushi rolls) where nice !

I found this place through a Google Maps search. I'd never been before, so I was a little skeptical but I was pleasantly surprised. The food is great! I had the chicken hibachi, while my daughter had the shrimp tempura and udon noodles. The place also features a conveyor with different types of sushi, appetizers and desserts. I liked it and will make this a regular spot!

This is an OK place for sushi. Some of the circulating pieces were not fresh. During my visit it was especially challenging get server's attention, as I literally had to wave her down after seeing her walk by 3 or 4 times. The owner was attentive and asked if we needed anything right away. Selection seems to be great and it could be a fun place for a large company.

Very personable service. delicious tasting sushi. Happy hour is a great price point. Highly recommend and definitely going to be back. Was there twice in the month of September

This sushi place is a hidden gem tucked away in a strip center right off of I-10 at Wirt Rd. We went during happy hour, which they offer during off peak hours at the moment. This is one of those sushi places with the conveyer belt type service. During happy hour, all plates are $2! The sushi was fresh and tasty with 2 or more pieces on each plate. They did not overload pieces with rice like a lot of places do for happy hour. They also had a great selection to choose from...gotta think quick though, or the plates pass you by! The staff was super friendly and the place was very clean. Very much enjoyed my first visit here.
